Safety Plan & Procedures
FREEWill Fitness is committed to the safety of its participants. As such, we collect primary contact and emergency contact information for each participant and have available to the instructor onsite.
Attire
Aqua Fit: Wear appropriate swimming attire. FREEWill Fitness recommends a one-piece, racer back bathing suit for women and full trunks or swim jammers for men. We also encourage participants to consider a pair of water shoes, which allow for better traction on the pool floor.
Group Fitness: Avoid fabrics that do not breathe to avoid overheating during workouts. Ensure clothing fits and footwear has appropriate traction. During early-morning and evening, outdoor classes, we encourage participants to wear reflective clothing.

Injury/Incident
Any participant who incurs an injury or becomes dizzy/ill while participating in a FREEWill Fitness activity should immediately alert the instructor for assistance. A first aid kit and cell phone are onsite for minor injuries. In cases requiring more extensive first aid, the instructor will contact the appropriate persons for assistance. It is important that the instructor be notified of any cases of injury or illness so that proper procedures can be initiated.
Minor Incident
A minor incident is one that does not require initiation of the emergency medical procedures. Examples include simple first aid for minor cuts and scratches. Incidents more complicated than these examples should be handled as major incidents until a qualified and trained individual can assess the situation and reclassify the incident as minor.
Medical Emergency
When a medical emergency occurs, the instructor will examine the injured person(s) to discover the main problems (i.e. not breathing, laceration, chest pain, extremely hot, etc.). S/He will next, call 911 for immediate assistance.
Medical Treatment
In cases of a full medical emergency, the instructor will dial 911 and provide basic first aid until the fire department or paramedics arrive. Under certain circumstances such as large disasters, assistance from the fire department or paramedics may not be immediately available. If immediate medical assistance is required, the instructor will take the person(s) to one of the following facilities:
